Cheese and Wine gift hampers have long been a speciality at Hay Hampers.  With our specially selected range of British cheeses, including, Stilton, Farmhouse Cheddar, Red Leicester, Smoked cheddar, and our range of Italian cheeses- we have carefully matched them with our range of wines and Port to create delicious gifts that will delight and satisfy any cheese lover. We also have a range of cheese gifts without alcohol ideal for corporate giving.

Our resident wine expert has the following advice to give when wanting to match cheeses with wine:- savoury Cheddar, Red Leicester and Parmesan match best to a medium to full bodied Red Bordeaux, Smoked cheeses work best with Alsace wines such as Gewurztraminer. Goats Cheese works beautifully with a Sancerre. Camembert with a ripe Red Burgundy whilst the milder Brie is best with White Burgundy. Blue cheese are complimented by a sweet wine. However if you have a mixed cheese board and are looking for a wine that will work with all the cheeses look for a full bodied Chardonnay.
