A New Chapter for Hay Hampers: Welcome to the Virginia Hayward Family

We have some news to share — and because you've been part of the Hay Hampers story, we wanted you to hear it from us.

Hay Hampers has joined the Virginia Hayward family: a British hamper company that started on a Dorset family farm in 1984, and has spent the forty years since doing exactly what we have — packing food and drink hampers by hand, and caring rather a lot about getting every detail right.

If your first thought is "please don't change anything", read on. That's precisely the plan.

Why this feels right

Some companies fit together on paper; this one fits together at the packing bench. Virginia Hayward is family-owned and family-run, just as gifting companies should be. They hand-pack everything. They fuss over ribbon. They believe a hamper should feel like an occasion from the moment the lid opens — which is, word for word, what we've always believed too.

With over forty years of hamper craft on each side, this isn't a takeover of one way of doing things by another. It's two companies who do the same thing, the same way, for the same reasons — now doing it together.

What stays exactly the same

The Hay Hampers name, this website, and the quality of hampers you know and love all continue. Your account and order history are untouched. Any order you've already placed will be delivered just as you arranged it. Gift cards will be honoured in full, so if there's one tucked in a drawer, it's exactly as valuable as the day it was given. And if you order for your business, the people and arrangements you've built up with us carry on as before.

You can still reach us in all the usual ways — same phone number, same email, same friendly answers.

What quietly gets better

Here's the part we're excited about. Your hampers are now hand-packed at Virginia Hayward's home in rural Dorset — a place built for hampers, with a team that grows several times over for Christmas. That means deeper stock of your favourites and the capacity to look after everything from a single birthday surprise to hundreds of corporate gifts without breaking stride.

It also means more to choose from. You'll already spot new arrivals across the site — cheese and wine slates, wine cases from single bottles to a full twelve, picnic hampers, pamper baskets and. The range will keep growing as we bring the best of both companies together, there's never been a better moment to explore.

The same care. Even more to share.

Companies change hands more often than most of us change our tea order, and we know the news can feel uncertain from the outside. So here is the whole of it, plainly: the things you love about Hay Hampers are staying, the things you never see are getting stronger, and the people now behind it all measure success the same way we always have — by the look on someone's face when they open the lid.

Thank you for being part of the story so far. The next chapter has more hampers in it.
