ACCEPTANCE OF ORDERS

All orders received are subject to acceptance by Hay Hampers Ltd and we reserve the right to reject any order without giving reasons. No contract to supply goods or services to you will come into existence unless we dispatch goods or provide services to the purchaser or otherwise communicate to the purchaser our acceptance of an order.

Fresh food

For gifts containing cheese, smoked salmon, trout, ham, chine or roasted venison, please be aware that if you are ordering these items early for an occasion and storing them, you MUST take these items out of the hamper and store them in a refrigerator on reciept. The shelf life of the ham is approx 10 days, smoked fish and meat 21 days and the cheeses can vary from 3-6 weeks. We recommend ordering with a dated delivery or ordering one of our non-perishable longe shelf life gifts.

Alcohol
No alcoholic drinks cannot be sold to persons under 18 years of age. You will be required to sign on delivery. By ticking the acceptance of terms and conditions you are agreeing that you are legally able to purchase.

Some wine vintages may vary according to availability.

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled up to day of despatch, when a full refund will be credited. For on line purchases the customer has the right to cancel an order up to fourteen days after receipt of goods. Where this right is exercised you will be refunded the full amount minus the price of the food and drink items which cannot be resold as well as carriage charges incurred. All goods must be returned in good condition. We aim to provide the refund within seven days on receipt of returned goods, less any charges as stated above, once the hamper has been returned. Notification of cancellation must be in writing - letter, fax or email. Please see details below. Cost of return to be paid by the customer.

Customs
We do not take any responsibility for delivery failures due to Customs problems and cannot offer any compensation for this.

Contents

A full list of contents is given for each gift. Photographic props such as glasses, plates, candles, Christmas stocking, flowers and fruit are not included, unless otherwise stated in the list of contents. Please see substitutions paragraph below

Delivery information and costs

UK mainland delivery charges are included in the price for every gift we sell. Please see Delivery for full details and other destinations. Please ensure correct and accurate delivery details are provided and that your recipient will be available on the date of delivery (tracking details are provided to you and a card will be left with the recipient if not in and a second delivery attempted or collection can be arranged as per the instruction on the courier card). If inaccurate details are provided Hay Hampers will not  be responsible for the cost of redirection or redelivery.

Delivery cannot be made to patients in hospitals.

Discounts and promotional codes

We offer early bird discounts for Christmas orders and also quantity discounts. We may also send you promotional codes during the year for special offers and if you use us on a regular basis. You can only enter one promotional code per order.

Force Majeure

Whilst every effort will be made to meet customers’ demands, cancellations or variations may be necessary as a result of an Act of God, War, Strike, Lockout, Labour Dispute, Fire, Flood, Drought or other causes beyond the control of Hay Hampers Ltd. If attempted delivery is not made within an acceptable time, then the customer may cancel the order. We suggest that this is over seven days for UK mainland.

LAW

These terms and conditions and all acts of Hay Hampers Ltd., its Directors and employees shall be in the accordance of the laws of England. Nothing in these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights.

Payment Terms

We accept payment online by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and most debit cards. Please fill in your card number, expiry date and 3 or 4 digit security code. Maestro needs the start date. Gifts may be ordered and paid for up to three months in advance of delivery to take advantage of discounts or promotional codes.

Privacy Policy

Hay Hampers does not disclose buyers or recipients information to third parties, without their prior permission. We do not telephone private customers unless we need information on their order. If you tick the brochure box on our website, we will send you a new brochure the following September. If you tick the box for emails, we will contact you each season to offer gifts for birthdays, summer events, etc. We do talk to our corporate customers on a regular basis, send emails with seasonal gifts and mail the brochure each September unless you instruct us to do otherwise.

Reservation of Title

All goods remain the property of Hay Hampers Ltd. until they have been paid for in full.

Samples

All samples are charged at list price. Refundable upon return.

Security

You can be confident when you enter 'My Account' with your email address and password, that all your information in the Checkout and Payment area will be fully encrypted using the latest Secure Socket Layer security technology. All data sent to our server and the data returned to you is encrypted to prevent unauthorized persons viewing your details. To view the security certificate click the Comodo icon. Substitutions

Whilst we make every effort to supply items described in our detailed listings, in the event of supply difficulty, it may be necessary to substitute goods of an equal or higher value. Gifts containing Christmas items ordered during the rest of the year will automatically have these items substituted unless otherwise requested. Vintages of wines may change through the year.

VAT and Duty

These apply at the current rate at the time of invoicing. Some gifts contain zero rated food items. On these items a percentage VAT rate has been calculated.
