Celebrate GINuary with our rage of gin hampers

A new year means only one thing! GINuary.

GINuary

Gin-making can be traced back to the Middle Ages and nowadays many gins are widely available. Although the basic flavour of gin is from juniper berries, there are different styles, plus flavoured and very aromatic gins. In addition to this, gin cocktails are hugely popular, with many ‘devotees’.

Signature from Manchester Gin is one of the most awarded gins in the country. It’s a contemporary citrus gin using 12 botanicals including orange, lemon and the Northern favourites dandelion & burdock root. Good round citrus notes with a classic juniper undertone on the nose, an initial citrus and juniper taste that develops into a depth of flavour underpinned by dandelion and burdock root, to finish with a smooth creamy finish with a delicate sweetness from liquorice.

House of Elrick is an artisan producer of gin from the Scottish Highlands. Their gin is produced using water extracted from the body of Loch Ness. In a uniquely shaped, matt, dark blue and silver 70cl bottle. It is sharp and dry with botanicals hand-picked by their Master of Gin; juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root and citrus peel, built around a core of heather, pink peppercorns, sweet fennel and rose petals. 42% proof. The producers recommend the perfect serve for their product is in a deep wine glass rimmed with orange juice, over ice, topped with premium tonic and garnished with a twist of orange zest.

Edinburgh Gin Distillery produces a flavoured rhubarb and ginger gin. This liqueur delicately balances sweetness with warming spice. Spring-crop rhubarb and oriental ginger marry to create a liqueur that promises lively sweetness, sharpness and spice on the nose and palate, with a lingering warm finish.

These three gins can be found in our gift hampers and they are all multi award-wining.
