Creating our 2021 Christmas Hamper Gift Range

Come behind the scenes with us to discover how our product and marketing team worked on the 2021 Christmas hamper range which we think is our best collection yet!

This year's range has unique hampers to gift to everyone during the festive season and covers all the price brackets. Secret Santa gifts for colleagues, delicious hampers for friends and family and generous gifts to say thank you to your corporate clients with. It's been an extra busy year here at Hay Hampers, we've toured through counties, created food boards and grazing tables aplenty and strategically balanced objects to get those "perfect" shots! Behind The Scenes

After last Christmas didn’t quite get everyone in the festive spirit with everything going on in the world, the Hay Hampers team worked around the clock to deliver a magical and merry range. From creating magical hot chocolate scenes to sparkly smoked salmon sets, July was certainly not the typical summer month here at Hay Hampers. All the team pulled together to get the “perfect” shots with even our director, Judith, holding trees and lights just at the right angle before hiding in the background! Hannah and Katy created boards of delicious foods and warming winter drinks which can be seen on the feature pages of our Christmas brochure!

Location, Location...

Hay Hampers toured the counties of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire to get lifestyle shots for the various categories which make up our 2021 Christmas hamper range. Travelling to a cosy rural village just outside of Grimsthorpe to an old converted pub steeped with history and character. The perfect location to create a cosy, country scene for our cover page. Arranging and re-arranging charcuterie boards and crystal glasses of fine wines in front of a roaring log fire while temperatures reached 25°c outside! You can even watch us create and capture this shot on our Instagram highlights under BTS. The video's of crackling fires are a lot more pleasing on cooler days rather than in the heated summer months when we recorded them! 

Hay Hampers On Tour

Crossing the border to Nottinghamshire to source a Christmas tree in July had some farmers look at us as if we were a bit mad! After even offering to cut the tree down ourselves, a lovely gentleman kindly let us into his fields to find ourselves the perfect Douglas fir, full-bodied like our wine hampers! We regretted getting the car cleaned inside before picking the tree out as the number of pine needles that came off could have nearly formed another tree! Nevertheless, it created a beautiful backdrop for our Christmas brochure cover. 

Luxury Christmas Hampers

The sparkly lights and foodie scenes also came with us to Nottinghamshire. Tables of festive food and warming mulled cider filled the air with all the smells of the merry season. The shot to the right was laid out for our Boxing Day buffet scene. The joint of ham, which can be found in several of our larger hampers, was flavoured with honey, mustard and cloves for that perfect sweet and salty taste combination. We don't like to brag but we think that Gordon Ramsay would be impressed with our efforts! Gifts For Everyone

Our 2021 Christmas hamper range has a gift for every member of the family. From the notoriously hard-to-buy-for men to the ladies who want nothing more. A gift hamper brimming with all their favourite treats is sure to delight them on Christmas morning! Why not send the whole family a gift they can enjoy together as they celebrate around the Christmas tree after not being together for so long last year. Delicious food and drink is always a winner for bringing people together and what better time of the year to do so than at Christmas!  

Gift Hamper Styling

This year the team wanted to be more artistic with their hamper styling. This artistic theme reflects the artisan products in our hampers and showcases the luxuriousness of our gifts. We decided to use a textured effect backdrop in our photos and we love the final images! You can see more of these on our socials and website. Our styling choices were also shown in our choice of locations for the shoots. We chose cosy, country scenes over bright, modern places to capture the perfect mix of modern country life to reflect our brand.
